Making a Booking
Booking is essential due to limited spaces. Your place is confirmed only once you have completed the payment via the booking link provided. The online payment portal "Stripe" is used to process your booking securely. Following your booking, you will receive a receipt confirmation by email within 24 hours. If your receipt doesn’t arrive, please check your spam folder before contacting me. By booking a class or workshop, you agree to all my terms and conditions.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
I reserve the right to change or cancel a workshop time, date or venue due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient bookings. In any event, students will be notified as soon as possible. If you cannot attend the rescheduled workshop, a full refund will be offered.
Paid workshops are non-refundable, however your place is fully transferable to another person, such as a friend or family member, if you cannot attend for any reason. Please provide me with the name and contact number or email address of the person you want to transfer your space to (at least 24 hours before the class start time),thank you.
Workshop Preparation
All materials and tools are provided so you just need to show up to your workshop, but don’t forget to bring some kind of box (like a cardboard box) with you so that you can bring your clay creations home. Adult and children’s aprons will be provided to protect your clothing, however, please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting messy with clay as I am not liable for any damages. If possible, I recommend having short nails so that you can handle the clay effectively.
Health and Safety
Students are responsible for their own health and safety while working with clay and tools. Be sure to follow all safety guidelines provided during the class or workshop.
Kiln Policy
With limited kiln space available each month, priority goes to students of the handbuilding block where ceramic firing is included in the cost. All other students can bring their clay creation home to air-dry as standard, or they will have opportunity to submit at least one of their favourite pieces per month at an additional cost of €10 for unglazed firing or €15 for glazing & firing. I accept pre-payment in person with cash or card reader.
If additional kiln space becomes available, any student can submit additional pieces on a first come, first served basis. This policy ensures fair usage of kiln resources and allows all students to have their work fired within a reasonable timeframe (4-8 weeks). Always make sure that each piece submitted for firing is clearly marked with your initials or makers mark so that it can be identified for collection later.
Firing Ceramics
Ceramics can be unpredictable and while I'll do my best to ensure your pieces turn out great, variations in clay and glaze colours or textures may occur due to the nature of the firing process. Keep in mind that breakages in the kiln sometimes happen despite handling with the greatest care. Therefore, I cannot be held liable for any breakages or damages that may happen to your work.
Collection Point
A designated local collection point will be shared with students. Once the work has been fired (within 4-8 weeks following your class) you will receive an email or text notification when it is ready to be picked up. Please note that you will have up to one month to collect your work. After this period, I cannot store your work any longer, so it's important to arrange for timely collection. If you cannot collect your work in person within that time period, we can discuss the possibility of shipping it to you for an additional fee. Any uncollected work will be repurposed, donated or recycled and no refunds offered due to cost of firing.
