Kiln Service

I offer a Kiln Service for firing and glazing your projects into durable and functional ceramics 🔥 

At the end of your workshop or on the last day of your course, you will have the option to bring your clay project(s) home unfired as standard, or leave it behind with me for ceramic firing and glazing. I will provide a glaze sheet and glaze samples so that you can choose your own glaze or finish for your project, which includes unglazed, glossy and matt options.

Your project will be fired in a Nabertherm electric kiln located in my rural studio. The full service I offer includes the careful air-drying of your project in my studio before handling the bisque firing, glaze application and glaze firing. I then deliver your finished ceramics to the cré collection point located in my sister’s store in Lismore, Co.Waterford. Here you can collect your ceramics at your convenience, within one month. I can also arrange shipping for any non-locals (postal fees apply).

This process takes between 2-8 weeks depending on the type of project, finish and the number of pieces submitted. I will state the lead time for this service for each workshop and course in the booking info, aswell as the pricing for this optional service for the specific project so you always know what to expect.

Payment for the kiln service can be made in cash at the end of your workshop or on the last day of your course.  Where stated, some workshops or courses may include this service in the cost of your booking.
